Local governance in the present-day Russia: challenges and prospects

The development of the local governance is a pressing problem for the present-day Russia. It is caused by the overall situation in the country’s economy, as well as by the state and municipal governance. Solving key challenges and shaping preconditions for the steady economic development are of Russia’s priority objectives. Resolving major problems related to the municipal management can positively affect country’s economy and its relationships with other countries.
